Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-05-07
Croft & Hugh Digital is funded by affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how that works — what we earn for, who we feature, and why none of it affects the calculator math, the odds converter, or our editorial position.
How we earn
When you click an outbound link from this site to a bookmaker, sign up, and place a qualifying bet or deposit, we may receive a commission. The commission is paid by the bookmaker — never by you. Your sign-up bonus, deposit, and account terms are identical whether you reach the bookmaker via our link or directly.
How partners are labelled
- Every monetised block on the site shows a small "Ad" pill in the corner — the offers page, the homepage right rail, and any in-article placement
- Outbound partner links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute — this tells search engines and accessibility tools that the link is commercial
- Blog posts that mention a partner show an "18+ · advertising for licensed operators" notice above the content
- The offers page is, by design, a commercial page. The "Coming soon" notice you see today will be replaced by clearly-labelled offer cards when partner deals are live
How we pick partners
Our editorial criteria for featured partners:
- Holds a current UK Gambling Commission licence (essential for any partner targeting UK readers)
- Has a track record of fair settlement and clearly-published terms
- Offers products and features our readers actually use — best-odds-guaranteed, exchange access, extra places, each-way friendly markets
- Does not impose restrictive terms or stake limits on customers who win
How "Best Offer" is decided
When the offers page is live, the "Best Offer" badge is editorial. It reflects our assessment of which offer represents the strongest combination of headline value, fair terms, and accessibility for the average reader. Commission rates do not factor into this ranking.
We keep an internal substantiation log of why a given offer earned the "Best" badge and update it monthly. If you'd like to query a specific ranking, email Hello@crofthughdigital.co.uk.
Why this doesn't bias the tools
The calculators on this site are pure functions of the inputs you provide. The accumulator math, the dead-heat formula, the odds converter, the each-way splits — all open-source-style and verifiable. Affiliate income has zero effect on how any of them work.
Editorial content (guides and blog posts) does not promote partners except via the standard placements above. Where a guide mentions a calculator example, we link to our own tool, not to a partner.
Compliance with UK rules
We aim to comply with:
- UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Code, particularly sections 16 (gambling) and 2 (recognition of marketing communications)
- Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on online endorsements
- UK Gambling Commission affiliate guidance
- UK GDPR and PECR — see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for detail
